Hello!

I am Al E. Gator. I am an American alligator. My home is now Arbor Springs Elementary School in Newnan , GA. I am 8 years old.

Mrs. Coggin, the technology specialist at the school, found me while I was vacationing in Jekyll Island , Georgia . My home up until then was in the Okefenokee Swamp in the southern part of Georgia . I lived there with my parents, brother, and sister. I will miss my family but this experience will be exciting and educational for me. My family and I will keep in touch through e-mail.

Arbor Springs Elementary hopes they can help me to see the world by sending me to different places. I want to learn how different people and animals live. My only hope is that everyone I meet takes care of me. Then they can return me safely back to Arbor Springs Elementary. The students there will enjoy learning about my travels around the world.

My first journey was in February, 2004 to Middle Township Elementary #1 in Cape May Court House , New Jersey . I was the guest of Miss Bright's second grade class. Go to my Travel Diary to hear more about my adventure. Students in Miss Bright's class are penpals with Mrs. Deling's REACH grade class at Arbor Springs.
