The children discussed and chose the rules for our class. They are:

• Listen to the teachers
• Hands and feet to yourself
• Know when to talk
• Walk in school
• Be a good friend
•  

Please check your child’s take home folder every night and sign his/her behavior form.

This year we will be using the Traffic Light in order to manage student behavior. The three colors on our traffic light are Green, Yellow, and Red. Each student will begin the day on Green and have several verbal warnings before having to move to yellow or red. If a student moves to yellow he/she might earn the opportunity to move back to green. If a student moves his/her clip to red he/she may earn the opportunity to move back to Yellow.

Students may be asked to move clips after several verbal warnings for talking too loudly, talking during instruction, putting hands/feet on others, not participating, not completing work.

Improved behavior will result in moving back to green, behavior that does not improve or gets worse may result in moving to red

 Clips may be moved directly to red if a student hits, kicks, bites or destroys school property..

Green :  Sticker on the daily behavior form

Yellow:  Yellow highlight and brief note on behavior form

Red: Red highlight, note in folder and Email or phone call to parent
