CONCEPTS OF PROBLEM SOLVING/ALGEBRA (MUST TAKE BOTH TERMS): Concepts of Problem Solving and Concepts of Algebra introduce algebraic and geometric concepts emphasizing a hands-on approach of modeling concepts of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, evaluating expressions, solving equations and inequalities, and exploring characteristics of geometric figures. This course provides a hands-on, exploratory mathematics alternative to Algebra I. Real-life applications of algebra are stressed.

This course is designed for students in the Technology/Career Education program. Successful completion of both terms will meet the algebra requirement for high school graduation.
