Text Box: MISSION STATEMENT We as the East Coweta Science Department would like to state that our goals are to teach students the necessary skills to research and study inquiry techniques.  Our department would like to see more students each year excel in a science based field.  In order to accomplish these goals, student standards and expectations will be held firm for the benefit of the students learning responsibility and a good work ethic.    We live in a globally competitive society that increasingly depends on expanding its scientific knowledge and applying the technology developed from that science.  Our mission is to prepare students for that world, developing disciplined, inquiring minds capable of meeting the challenges of the future and understanding the technological frontiers that will affect their society.  Our goal is for every student to complete the required state and local testing satisfactorily. To ensure that students meet these goals, high academic standards are set. Students must take responsibility for their own learning, take personal responsibility and develop a strong work ethic that they can carry forward in life.
