Course
Description:
French II will continue to focus on authentic culture and real life communication in French. We will be using the Discovering French Nouveau--Blanc textbook and spending two to three weeks on each unit. We will practice reading, writing, listening, and speaking as the students improve upon their ability to communicate effectively about family, friends, home and school. We will start out by reviewing the basic vocabulary and present tense forms of the verbs studied in French I. Then we will expand our vocabulary base as we learn to talk about our plans for the future and describe past events. We will be concentrating on achieving Novice-Mid to Novice-High levels in reading, writing, listening and speaking as described in the Georgia Performance Standard areas for Modern Languages, Level II (www.georgiastandards.org).
