Course Description:
Spanish 3 focuses on the continued development of communicative
competence in the target language and understanding of the culture(s) of the
people who speak the language.
Course Objective:
Students will continue to develop the skills acquired in the
first two years of Spanish. They will
continue to improve the four fundamental skills of language proficiency:
listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
Cultural awareness will be incorporated in the units. Culture plays an important role in language
learning. Students will continue to
strive for communicative proficiency through a combination of grammar
structures, conversation, reading, and writing activities. Students will be expected to use the target
language.

2. Grooming is not permitted in class.

assigned projects and presentations throughout the semester. Rubrics will be

Daily Grades:
Homework, class work, and participation is included in this category. Sometimes this work will be graded for

Assignments are not accepted late except for special
circumstances.
Make-Up Work:
Make-up work is the responsibility of the students. The students must see the teacher within 3

a reasonable date for the work to be handed in (this will depend on the amount
of time missed).
